Partha Paul is a seasoned healthcare and medical device executive with extensive experience in business development, strategic planning, and commercialization across medtech, biotechnology, and healthcare sectors. Partha has contributed to advancements in medical devices, diagnostics, and life sciences through leadership roles in both early-stage ventures and global corporations.

Currently, Partha serves at Cleveland Clinic, where he focuses on identifying strategic partners and advancing novel medical technologies toward market readiness. He fosters collaborations, guides intellectual property strategy, and attracts industry interest to support the development of innovative solutions across multiple therapy areas.

Previously, Partha was Vice President of Business Development at Leuko, a Boston-based company pioneering the first non-invasive white blood cell assessment device. He defined go-to-market strategies, established market access plans, forged partnerships, and led fundraising efforts to commercialize this transformative technology. As Head of North America Business at LPixel Inc., Partha spearheaded FDA approval for AI-driven diagnostic devices, advanced oncology and neurology diagnostics, and built partnerships with device and pharmaceutical companies. At Philips, Partha managed $100M P&L in image-guided therapy devices, achieving strong revenue growth and market share. At GE Healthcare, he led strategic initiatives to significantly expand a $350M portfolio in imaging and molecular diagnostics, driving acquisitions and partnerships. Earlier, he held leadership roles at Interleukin Genetics, AtheroGenics, and Southwest Research Institute, executing high-value deals and building new businesses.

As a mentor for MassBIO and Johns Hopkins, Partha continues to guide medtech startups toward success, leveraging his expertise in market access, strategic partnerships, and commercialization strategies.

Dr. Jon Bloom is a board-certified physician and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in technology development, patient monitoring, biomedical research, and health care delivery. He co-founded Podimetrics in 2011 while a student at the MIT Sloan School of Management, and he’s served as our CEO ever since. Dr. Bloom was first inspired to create a solution to help prevent diabetic amputations while practicing anesthesia; he frequently treated patients who required foot amputations and knew there had to be a less drastic way to prevent diabetic foot complications. He previously served as a Clinical Assistant Professor and staff anesthesiologist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and as the Director of Global Medical Affairs for Covidien’s Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions division. Dr. Bloom has co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications with a primary focus on health care economics and perioperative complications. He earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Cam Hicks is an Executive Officer and the Corporate Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer for Teleflex, a $2.9bn global medical technology company with over 15,000 employees manufacturing/selling in 150 countries. Cam joined Teleflex in April of 2013, bringing his more than 23 years of global experience in Human Resources and Organizational Development.

Prior to joining Teleflex, Cam served as the Executive Vice President of Human Resources & Organizational Effectiveness for Harlan Laboratories, a private global provider of pre-clinical and non-clinical research services. Preceding Harlan, he spent 20 years at MDS where he was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the global Pharma Services division, the Director of Human Resources for the Canadian Diagnostics division, and held a variety of other HR and Operational Leadership roles. Prior to joining MDS, Cam was on the teaching faculty at the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada.

Cam was selectively recognized by his Philadelphia/New Jersey/Delaware peers as “CHRO of the Year” in 2018, and with a “Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2021. Cam is a Certified Director with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), earned the Certificate in Cyber-Risk Oversight from Carnegie Mellon University and the NACD, and currently serves on a variety of non-profit Boards. He earned his B.A. in Honors Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business in Canada.

Cam and his wife Nancy have been married for 35 years, and currently live in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Cam enjoys distance running (completed five marathons), and has an Associate Degree in Piano Performance from the Western Conservatory of Music (Canada). Nancy is a graduate (lyric soprano) of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music, and currently works as a communications coach/consultant and an On-Air Talent with QVC. They have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandsons.

Mehul Desai leads global medical affairs and advocacy at Enable Injections. He drives evidence generation, scientific communications, and KOL engagement for the enFuse® technology, while supporting regulatory approvals and current and prospective partnerships. A frequent author and presenter on subcutaneous drug delivery, Mehul has contributed to peer-reviewed journals, trade publications, and industry conferences, advancing the science of large-volume biologics administration.

He brings deep biopharma experience in rare disease, having contributed to the success of multiple blockbuster therapies. At argenx, he served as Medical Director, shaping strategic direction, supporting clinical trial execution, and advancing business development across multiple therapeutic areas. Earlier in his career, he held field medical roles at Alexion Pharmaceuticals and Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, both supporting rare disease portfolios.

Mehul earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Purdue University and completed his post-doctoral medical affairs fellowship at Johnson & Johnson.

Carlos is a global commercial leader with 17 years of experience driving Sales and Downstream Marketing for Class III minimally invasive and surgical medical devices. Throughout his career, he has successfully navigated both the agile startup environment and the complex corporate matrix. Carlos has managed functional and regional high-performing teams with a proven record of capturing market share and driving revenue, maintained by a relentless, laser-focus on customer orientation. Chris is an enthusiastic, customer-centric global MedTech leader with a passion for translating

innovations to patients. He has a deep understanding of the European and US Ortho and Spine

markets and is a strong advocate for talent development and patient-centric technology innovation.

Chris began his career with Johnson & Johnson in 2002 in French-speaking Switzerland as a Sales

Consultant, and over the following years he has held several roles with increasing responsibility in

Switzerland, Germany and across Europe, Middle-East and Africa within Johnson&Johnson’s

orthopedic and neuro businesses. In 2018, he had the opportunity to move to the Boston area to lead

JnJ’s Spine business in the US.

In 2023, after more than 20 years with Johnson & Johnson, Chris took the role of Chief Commercial

Officer for Nyxoah to prepare the commercialization of a novel neuromodulation device for patients

with severe obstructive sleep apnea.

In beginning 2024, Chris joined icotec Medical Inc as their Chief Executive Officer. Icotec Medical is

a highly innovative medical device company that manufactures and commercializes unique carbon

fiber PEEK implants for patients with complex conditions in the Spine, primarily tumors and

infections. Icotec is growing quickly and is investing heavily in clinical evidence, manufacturing

capabilities and its commercial footprint.

Chris holds a master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from the Swiss Federal

Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland and studied at the Royal Institute of Technology in

Stockholm, Sweden. He has served in the Swiss Army to the level of Captain in the NBC defense

Troops.

Chris currently lives in the Boston, MA area, with his wife and three children. He enjoys skiing, sailing

and any type of mountain activity. He is perfectly fluent in German, French and English.

Michael Monovoukas is the co-founder and CEO of AcuityMD. Prior to launching AcuityMD, he was a Medtech entrepreneur. He also held a leadership role at PatientPing, a leading provider of care coordination software. Michael started his career as a management consultant at Bain & Company, where he advised leading life sciences companies on growth and commercial strategy. Michael received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his B.A. in Public Policy and Finance from Princeton University. He can be reached at mike@acuitymd.com.

Thomas Bergamo leads U.S. market access and healthcare policy strategies to advance patient and provider access to AtriCure’s technologies. He and his team work closely with AtriCure’s customers, as well as commercial, medical, regulatory and scientific affairs colleagues on a broad range of upstream and downstream initiatives throughout the product lifecycle. Thomas frequently engages with government and commercial payers, trade associations, medical societies, and patient groups to influence and shape policies affecting adoption of life saving technologies in the cardiovascular space.

Most recently, Thomas served as Senior Director and Global Head of Market Access and Healthcare Policy for Becton Dickinson’s (BD) Interventional Segment where he sat on the Public Affairs Senior Leadership Team. Prior to joining BD, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Second Sight Medical, Boston Scientific, Abbott, and Cochlear. Thomas began his career at Lash Group Healthcare Consultants, holds a BA from Davidson College, and an MBA from UVA’s Darden School of Business.

Holly is a Senior Partner at The Mullings Group, and has been a part of the firm for 25+ years. She believes the most productive and fulfilling organizations are built on the complementary forces that make up a team. Her bidirectional approach to each search allows her to put the best interest of both the individual and the company at the center of her team’s work. She is passionate about the medical device industry, which works to elevate health and healthcare, the individual careers we help build, and the team at TMG. These individuals keep Holly committed to being better every day.

Continuously giving back to the industry, Holly is a member, guest speaker, and advocate for MassMEDIC’s Women in Medtech organization. She also hosts two podcasts, The Power Curve, and Tech Talks with Holly Scott.

Holly is a graduate of the University of Florida with a psychology major and a business minor. She has also been awarded Certified Senior Account Manager (CSAM) by MRINetwork, an international network of recruiting firms.

Justin Kelly currently serves as Noctrix Health’s Senior Vice President, Patient Access where he oversees market access strategy, government relations and reimbursement operations. Justin joined Noctrix Health in June 2023. Prior to joining Noctrix Health, Justin had extensive experience launching novel therapies and medical devices leading reimbursement and market access functions at Novocure, Sirtex Medical, Insulet Corporation and Genzyme Biosurgery. He holds a Master’s Degree in Global Business Administration from the Fletcher School at Tufts University as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts.

Desmond is President of Gentuity, where he leads the company’s mission to advance intravascular imaging and enable interventional cardiologists to deliver more precise, patient-centered care. Since joining Gentuity in 2021, he has focused on driving the convergence of high-resolution imaging, artificial intelligence, and intuitive system design to bring next-generation tools into routine clinical practice.

With more than 20 years of experience in biomedical optics, Desmond has played a key role in the development and launch of medical technologies across cardiology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, and pulmonology. During his time at LightLab Imaging and St. Jude Medical, he led the development of earlier generations of intravascular imaging systems. He also served as General Manager and Vice President of R&D for Corneal Health at Glaukos Corp., overseeing the development and commercialization of drug-device combination therapies for rare ophthalmic diseases.

Desmond is passionate about the role of medical technology in improving patient outcomes while also experiencing lifelong learning, enjoying professional growth, and forming personal bonds with exceptional individuals from all over the world. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.

Ryan Myers is the CEO of CranioSense, with over 15 years of medical device experience, a PhD in bioengineering focused on neurophysiology, and an MBA in entrepreneurship and M&A. He has led portfolios and companies working on the cutting edge of neuroscience, primarily in minimally invasive and noninvasive diagnostics, monitoring, and interventional platform technologies. At CranioSense he is building a non-invasive platform capable of being a fast, accurate, and inexpensive alternative to invasive procedures, starting with non-invasive intracranial pressure assessment and monitoring.

Thomas Knox is the Founder and CEO of VitVio, where he’s building ambient sensing and computer vision systems that help reduce administrative burden and drive efficiency. His system captures what’s happening in operating room automatically and turns it into clean documentation and operational automation. Letting staff focus on what’s most important, the patient.

Before VitVio, Thomas helped scale three start-ups that have become unicorns in their space, including a leader in autonomous stores enabling a truly frictionless walk in walk out experience.

He’s now applying that technical expertise and execution mindset to healthcare, bringing high-performance sensing and AI into the most demanding environment there is, the operating room.

Joe Mullings has been building companies and careers since 1989. He is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of The Mullings Group, including TMG Search and Dragonfly. The search firm, with over three decades in the industry, is responsible for more than 9,000 successful searches in medtech / healthtech / life sciences with clients ranging from multi-billion-dollar companies to emerging high-tech organizations worldwide. TMG’s international presence and work with over 900 companies allow them to provide solutions to the clients they partner with across the globe.

As the first search firm to integrate media and talent access, Dragonfly was launched as a media production company, complete with a state-of-the-art studio, for use by clients and partners for attention and awareness. Dragonfly is the media machine behind the 7-time Telly Award winning video docuseries, “TrueFuture,” of which Joe is the host. He is also the founder of TMGPulse, a MedTech news and opinion website.

Joe is an active member of the medtech and investor community. He sits on industry boards and serves as an adviser to many emerging tech startups and technology accelerators as well as being an angel investor. He holds an engineering degree from The University of Dayton, Ohio.

Andre LaFreniere leverages his 20 years’ experience in healthcare technology to advance opportunities and solve challenges in healthcare. Andre’s product development and commercialization knowledge spans collaborations with commercial clients across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, and healthcare systems to solve complex problems and change healthcare for the better.

Rahul is a Senior Analyst on the Medtech Insights team at Clarivate, specializing in key orthopedic markets including surgical robotics, trauma devices, small joint and large joint reconstruction, and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). He holds a Master of Science in Data Analytics from the University of Western Ontario. Before joining Clarivate, Rahul worked as a healthcare data analyst at a healthcare quality improvement organization, where he supported analytics initiatives related to public health and performance measurement.

Liz Graham joined the MLSC in February of 2026 and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, she oversees the operational effectiveness of the MLSC and partners with the executive team and board to develop and execute the MLSC’s strategy.

Liz is a startup executive who specializes in accelerating high-growth companies to sustainable profitability and scale. Her experience spans AI (Ada IQ), climate tech (Indigo Ag), digital trust services (Notarize), eCommerce (Wayfair), SaaS (HubSpot), and media and technology (Comcast). Liz combines board-level governance experience at public and private companies with hands-on operational leadership. She brings both strategic acumen and execution capabilities to build high-performing teams that deliver results.

Liz is active on several non-profit boards including the global startup accelerator MassChallenge, The Rappaport Institute, an organization dedicated to improving the governance of Greater Boston by strengthening connections among scholars, students & civic leaders, and is a founding member of Women Applying AI. Liz holds an A.B. from Harvard College, a M.St. from the University of Oxford, England (Balliol), and a J.D. from Harvard University.

Joana Cartocci is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Robeauté, bringing over a decade of experience in operations management and leadership. She has held key roles in multiple deep tech organizations, showcasing her expertise in coordinating complex, multidisciplinary projects. A founding member of Chirurgie 4.0 and former board member of FranceBiotech, Joana is deeply involved in advancing Healthcare innovation. Fluent in six languages, she brings a global perspective to her work, driving operations at Robeauté as they develop a groundbreaking microrobot technology that aims to revolutionize neurosurgery by enabling targeted diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of brain disease.

Dr. Brian Quist is a Senior Director of Research and Development at Smith+Nephew in Sports Medicine. Within the Arthroscopic Enabling Technology group, he leads the Advanced Technology Development, Systems Engineering and Systems Verification groups. In this role, he is helping advance the purpose of Smith+Nephew – “Life Unlimited” – by using technology to take the limits off living for patients and helping medical professionals do the same.

Brian began his career in 2012 as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in the Chicago office. In 2015, he became a Project Leader. While at BCG, he focused on healthcare and had experiences in strategy, R&D portfolio optimization, M&A diligence and large-scale operating model transformations.

In 2017, Brian joined Smith+Nephew as the Director of Digital Health supporting the President of R&D. He transitioned into Sports Medicine to start the Systems Engineering and Systems Verification groups in 2019. In 2020, he added management of the Advanced Technology Development group.

Brian has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. He was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award for Individual Predoctoral Fellows during his doctoral work at Northwestern. He holds a Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in bioengineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He also holds a certificate for Management for Scientists and Engineers from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Michael is the current Global Vice President of Healthcare Economics, Reimbursement and Market Access for AtriCure, a surgical medical device company focused on Atrial Fibrillation and post surgical pain management. His teams have worked with CMS to create new MS-DRGs, and societies to create new CPT-1 codes, improving patient access.  He currently sits on the Board of Directors for Mass Medic. Prior to his role at AtriCure he held management positions at Boston Scientific, Philips Healthcare, and Medtronic. 

He earned his PhD from the University Florida in Applied Physiology. 

Sonya S. Bhavsar, PhD is a seasoned professional with a robust background in biomedical engineering and a passion for advancing healthcare through innovation. She holds a B.S .in Biomedical Engineering and a M.S. in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University, along with a Ph.D. in Theoretical Medicine from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. She has over a decade of industry experience in bringing Class 3 medical devices successfully to the market.

Currently serving as the Senior Director of Advanced R&D at Johnson & Johnson MedTech Heart Recovery Division, Dr. Bhavsar spearheads the innovation of novel mechanical circulatory support solutions. Her approach to innovation involves guiding cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to successful commercialization, with a particular focus on bringing comprehensive therapeutic solutions to market.
