One Year Later: Complying with the Massachusetts Gift Ban Law Last year Massachusetts’ “gift ban” law went into
effect, requiring medical device companies to restrict their marketing
and product development practices and to report to the state on payments
to health care providers. This seminar will examine the Mass. Department
of Public Health’s implementation of this law; enforcement policies;
and company compliance practices. Speakers will include compliance experts

The 510(k) Process: Best Practices in Changing Times As major changes in the 510(k) program are being unveiled by the FDA, medical device companies must develop new strategies to navigate the product clearance process. Choosing the right 510(k) pathway for your product; locating and choosing a predicate device; the pre-IDE process; developing the appropriate “intended use” statement; and Congressional plans for reforming the 510(k) process are among the topics to be discussed at this seminar. Industry representatives and regulatory experts will be featured on the program agenda.
