BIOMEDevice Returns to Boston in March 2014

Digestive Diseases: Ideas and Innovations for the 21st Century

Building on last year’s successful colloquium that brought together colleagues in Surgery and Gastroenterology, the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Medical School (UMMS) is holding its second annual “Digestive Diseases: Ideas and Innovations for the 21st Century: A Colloquium for Gastroenterology/ Hepatology and Gastrointestinal Surgery” on Friday, April 11 in the Albert Sherman Center at the UMass Memorial-University Campus 
in Worcester.

The Division of Gastroenterology and Department of Surgery and course directors David Cave, MD, PhD, and Mitchell Cahan, MD, have organized 20 experts from across the Medical School and Medical Center – in addition to colleagues in the region – to discuss key topics in digestive diseases, from prevention and diagnosis to management and surgery. This daylong CME event targets community-based gastroenterologists, general surgeons, primary care physicians and nurses from across New England. Massachusetts Advanced Manufacturing Summit 2014

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts will host its second annual Advanced Manufacturing Summit on April 29 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the DCU Center in Worcester. This full-day summit will bring together hundreds of leading executives and managers from the manufacturing industry to share best practices, network, and discuss opportunities and challenges.
