Join the crowd at MassMEDIC’s MedTech Investors Conference on Nov. 1 at UMass-Boston’s Campus Center

While on hiatus last year because of the 2012 AdvaMed Conference in Boston, MassMEDIC recommences its annual MedTech Investors Conference in November 2013. As in past years, 20 emerging MedTech companies from the around the region will make their 10-minute investor pitches for a gathering of more than 400 attendees from the financing, consulting and manufacturing sectors.

This year’s agenda will also include plenary presentations on M&A activity in the region; UMass President Bob Carat on what’s happening in Life Science in the five-campus system; and updates on entrepreneurial activities in Massachusetts. The afternoon session will feature presentations by representatives from five area public medical device companies. Throughout the day, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to network with entrepreneurs, investors and business development executives.

November 12 – MedTech IGNITE Presents: User Needs & Design Inputs for Successful Product Development for Emerging MedTech Companies

Ximedica, a leading healthcare product development accelerator and Aptiv Solutions, a global medical device CRO, have joined forces to create a half-day dynamic workshop designed to educate emerging companies on how to set the stage for success. This program emphasizes ways to mitigate risk along the medical device development pathway to achieve product clearance/approvals in the US, EU and other identified markets outside the US. It’s purpose is to educate medical device research, design and development teams not only on how to successfully bring a medical device to market, but also to ensure continued product success following launch.
