Report Reveals Stronger Focus on Economic Value in Medical Device Innovation

While traditionally medical device manufacturers placed most of their focus on physician preferences when developing new products, there’s growing evidence that manufacturers are now taking into consideration the needs of healthcare administrators and purchasing professionals as well – innovating products that meet both the clinical AND economic demands of healthcare organizations. This was a key finding in a report by market research firm Chadwick Martin Bailey presented at the MassMEDIC 2013 Annual Conference, held on May 8 at UMass-Boston.
