Spotlight on State of MedTech Innovation at 14th Annual Conference
Tuesday, May 4 – JFK Library and Museum, Boston

Speakers: Boston Scientific’s John Abele, BD’s CTO and iRobots New Life Sciences President

How have the economic downturn and recent public policies affected medtech innovation in this region? MassMEDIC’s 14th annual conference agenda will feature presentations that examine this topic and offer attendees the unique perspectives of three industry leaders:

- John Abele, Co-Founder and Director, Boston Scientific Corporation

- Dr. Scott Bruder, SVP and Chief Technology Officer at BD

- Tod Loofbourrow, President of iRobot’s new Life Sciences Division

The program will also include a presentation of findings of a survey performed by PRTM on the state of medical device innovation in New England. PRTM is looking at how the recession and public policies such as the Massachusetts gift ban law and the prospect of healthcare “payment reform” have influenced company attitudes on research expenditures.

More details on the annual conference and registration information will be sent to MassMEDIC members and posted on our website in the coming weeks.
