Discussed at “Boot Camp”
December 13 On December 13, MassMEDIC hosted a standing-room only seminar on “Bringing a Product to Market and Avoiding Regulatory Pitfalls.” Held as part of MassMEDIC’s MedTech IGNITE entrepreneurial coaching program, the event was designed to give entrepreneurs and others new to the device industry a solid grounding in understanding how medical products are approved and the potential pitfalls that can forestall a company’s development during its regulatory approval process. Experts also provided a thorough understanding of how medical technologies are coded and reimbursed, including the various stakeholders and payers who direct the payment systems.
