Investors Conference to Showcase Region’s Top Emerging Medical Device Companies

On Thursday, November 1, MassMEDIC will host its 9th annual Medtech Investors Conference at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. Since its inception, the Investors Conference has showcased nearly 200 early-stage companies before an important audience of investors, acquirers and strategic partners. Nearly 450 attendees come to the event to network with their peers in the medtech finance, manufacturing, development and service supply sectors.

At this year’s event, 25 regionally-based, emerging companies will present their cutting-edge technologies in such markets as imaging, biomaterials, telemetry and diagnostics. The 2007 presenters are:

• “Risk, Reward and Being on the Winning Side” a presentation by Ben Mezrich, author of Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions. Mr. Mezrich’s book was recently made into a movie, “21”, which will be released early next year.
