Life Sciences Talent Initiative to Study Workforce Needs

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center and the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council have funded a year-long study of the life sciences workforce in the Commonwealth. The research and analysis will examine current and future training and workforce needs. The report will be conducted by the UMass Donahue Institute with input from medical device and biotech company executives.

MassMEDIC will be represented on the industry advisory board by representatives of Innovative Spinal Technologies, Medtronic and Symmetry Medical/TNCO.

The group’s final report will be issued at a special Life Sciences Workforce Conference to be held in the spring of 2008.
