Working
Group Focuses on Proposed DEHP Ban in Massachusetts
MassMEDIC has formed a working group to develop a policy statement in opposition to legislation that would ban DEHP from all products and manufacturing operations in Massachusetts. DEHP is widely used in a range of medical devices, including drug delivery apparatus, blood storage bags and emergency medical disposables. A ban on DEHP, which is not supported by FDA research and analysis, is being proposed in legislation introduced this year that would also ban another nine chemicals or chemical substances.
