Department of Commerce Healthcare Trade Mission to Chile and Brazil seeks MedTech Participants

The Israel-U.S. Bi-national Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation was established by the U.S. and Israeli governments in 1977 to generate mutually beneficial cooperation between U.S. private sector companies and Israeli high tech industries. BIRD provides both matchmaking services between U.S. and Israeli companies and funding for qualifying projects, covering up to 50 percent of project development and product commercialization costs up to $1 million.

On April 23-27, the U.S. Department of Commerce Healthcare Technologies Trade Mission will offer opportunities for one-on-one meetings with pre-screened potential buyers, distributors, and representatives in fast-growing markets for medical products and technology.

Ideal participants include manufacturers of anesthetic instruments, sterilizers, mobile dental clinics, mammography, medical and surgical instruments and appliances, ultrasonic therapy, X-Ray equipment, and ambulances, advanced medical equipment, disposables, diagnostics, implants, and components. Companies offering other types of healthcare products and services are also invited to apply.

Applicants will be apprised of their products' market potential in Chile and Brazil before the mission takes place. For complete details, please visit: www.buyusa.gov/healthcare/sa_trademission.html or contact the project officer, Pompeya Lambrecht at pompeya.lambrecht@mail.doc.gov.
