Hydrocision, Inc. recently announced it has secured an
additional $12.7 million in venture financing, bringing the company’s
total funding to $28 million. The funding will be used to complete a prospective
controlled, randomized trial for microdisectomy and to purchase capital
equipment to increase its speed to market and reduce product cost….MassMEDIC
members Medical Device Consultants, Inc. (MDCI) and Boston
Healthcare Associates, Inc. (BHA) have announced a joint agreement
to leverage the regulatory, clinical research, marketing and reimbursement
strategy strengths of both organizations to better support the growth
of medical device companies. Under the terms of the agreement, MDCI and
BHA will work together to deliver comprehensive marketing and reimbursement
strategies to gain market access and secure payer reimbursement…Boston
Scientific has received FDA approval for its FilterWire EX system.
The product is designed to prevent strokes and heart attacks after stents
