MassMEDIC’s annual showcase of regional start-up and emerging medtech companies will take place on Thursday, November 9, 7:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston. As always, the highlight of the conference agenda will be presentations by 25 emerging medtech companies, focused on these medical technologies: ablation, biomaterials, cardiovascular, diagnostics, drug delivery, imaging, ophthalmology and orthopedics.

The session begins with a panel discussion featuring CEOs presenters from MassMEDIC’s first investors conference in 1999, who return to talk about their experience in guiding a medical device start-up. Participants include: Jerry Brecher, Suturtek; Nancy Briefs, Percardia; John Santini, MicroCHIPS; and Amar Sawhney, Confluent Surgical.

At lunch, MassMEDIC will present the Nixon Peabody/Smith & Nephew Medical Device Innovation Awards, honoring start-up, emerging and established companies for outstanding products.
