Tyco Healthcare, which is spinning off from Tyco International
to become one of the largest medical device companies in the world, recently
completed two leases totaling nearly 500,000 square feet, subsequently
solidifying its presence in Mansfield and its dedication to remain in
Massachusetts….SuturTek Incorporated was recently honored with a
Gold Medical Design Excellence Award at the Medical Design & Manufacturing
East Conference in New York. SuturTek received the recognition
for its 360-degree Fascia Closure Device™, a suturing technology
designed to prevent needlestick injuries during fascia closures….Bayer
HealthCare recently announced plans to undergo a $100 million
expansion of its East Walpole facility, adding at least 70 jobs to the
700 currently employed in Massachusetts. Groundbreaking for the 116,000
square foot expansion is due to occur in July 2006….
