With 70% of the U.S. laborforce predicted to be made up of women and people of color by 2008, a strategic approach to managing diversity is a critical imperative for most organizations. On April 26, the HR Forum met to outline strategies for “Developing a Comprehensive Diversity Strategy for Your Organization.” Participants were coached in a variety of best practices for recruiting diverse candidates, developing an inclusive environment, and building the business case for diversity by Erica Bronstein, JD, Managing Partner of Ibis Consulting Group, Inc., a leading diversity consulting firm.
On April 27, the R&D Forum convened to discuss “Managing Technology Development Well – How’s That Different from Good Product Development?” Attendees heard from industry leaders Candela and Boston Scientific on how their organizations distribute time and resources to support technology development efforts outside of their traditional product development channels. Participants were also led in a discussion of the challenges they face in successfully managing technology development initiatives by representatives of PRTM Management Consultants, who provided an industry overview of technology development versus product development.
