28 Combination Products Seminar
More than 100 attendees gathered at MassMEDIC’s March seminar, “Combination
Products: Who Regulates Them, What are the Market Opportunities, and are
They Worth It?” to hear case studies in obtaining regulatory approval
and reimbursement for combination medtech products. Moderated by Mark
Heller, a partner at WilmerHale who is known as the “father of food
and drug law”, the session featured an expert panel whose representatives
have been responsible for more than 50 percent of all approved PMAs.
Attendees also heard from the CEO of CorNova Inc., a start-up company
that has taken the unique step of pursuing a combination product as its
first technology.
