From the Lab to the Living Room - Deploying New Technologies for the Growing Home Healthcare Market
Demographic trends, technological innovations and healthcare system realities are accelerating demand for the delivery of healthcare services into the home. Products such as defibrillators, dialysis machines, telehealth systems and remote patient monitoring services are entering more and more homes every day to help consumers manage chronic conditions and medical centers extend patient services. A growing number of demonstrations and pilot programs are underway to help insurance companies and the government explore reimbursement models and test consumer self-pay elasticity. Unquestionably, the home market represents a tremendous growth opportunity for innovative and intelligent medical device manufacturers.

"From the Lab to the Living Room" will provide executives with the latest data, product design and business development lessons from industry experts. Topics to be presented include product design, integration with home technologies, reimbursement models, distribution channels and liability issues for your organization to consider. On-Line Registration

Combination Products: Who Regulates Them, What are the Market Opportunities, and are They Worth It?
With the emergence of advanced technologies for drug delivery, a new frontier of business and market opportunities has opened up for medical device companies. Combination Products hold the promise of blockbuster revenues and cutting edge technological development.

However, this evolution in healthcare carries many regulatory and development challenges. In this session, our expert panel will provide a better understanding of the FDA’s role in evaluating combination products, including FDA branch assignments and strategies, preclinical component testing, clinical trial requirements and regulatory milestones. Evidence-based Medicine: Practical Application to Drive Reimbursement
As medical technologies become more complex, and information technology systems more sophisticated, public and private payers are increasingly relying on comprehensive clinical and economic evidence to drive coverage and payment. Many payers have developed rigorous technology assessment processes that can either facilitate or impede clinician and market access. The Conference explores the practical application of EBM from the perspective of payer and innovator / marketer, with an emphasis on incorporating EBM issues into clinical development and commercialization activities and timelines.
