Angstrom Medica recently received a 2005 Excellence in
Technology Award from Frost & Sullivan for the development
of its novel nanocrystalline calcium phosphate technology, NanOss™….
Boston Scientific has granted a $500,000 donation
to the University of Minnesota’s Foundation to support a
new biomedical engineering fellowship fund. Fellowships from the
fund will be granted to top biomedical graduate students, with
the hope that the fund will one day be able to support an entire
class of first-year graduate students….Aeris Therapeutics
announced on December 12 that it had received FDA fast-track designation
for its non-invasive treatment for advanced heterogeneous emphysema…Haemonetics
chairman Ronald Matricaria donated $5 million to his alma mater,
the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. The gift is the largest
single donation the college has ever received.
