Employ + Ability – A Massachusetts Medical Device Company with a Unique Mission

A unique organization in Braintree has been a vital part of the medical device industry in Massachusetts for twenty-four years. Employ+Ability is both a not-for-profit and an active business that employs over forty adults who have disabilities. It is largely supported by the medical device community through its Board of Directors, customers and donors.

Company president, Jim Middleton, notes, “Our mission is to provide competitive employment and benefits to the special women and men who work here by offering quality products in a cost effective way. Because of business relationships and fundraising support from a number of companies within the medical device industry, we are able to sustain this vital mission that has such a positive impact on people’s lives.”

The company is FDA certified, with a Class 100,000 clean room. They are currently seeking contract assembly or packaging projects for two of their production lines. They have a strong track record for quality, service and pricing. Among their customers are Johnson &Johnson, U.S. Surgical, and McKesson, as well as, a number of start-up and mature medical device companies in New England.
