The Perfect Storm in MedTech: Will the US Remain the Global Leader?
MassMEDIC in conjunction with the Deshpande Center is hosting an entrepreneur boot camp. This program is designed to be a practical workshop for entrepreneurs or those who are thinking about becoming entrepreneurs in the medtech space. Speakers and panelists will include a dynamic team of experienced entrepreneurs, seasoned venture capitalists, innovative university faculty, and corporate business development leaders. The focus will be on what you may not know about venturing a new businesses and what to consider once you have made the decision to become an entrepreneur. This event is designed to be rapid-fire and content-intensive.
This workshop will focus on real-world issues and events that occur in the first few years of a new venture, and extends well beyond writing the business plan and the pitch. Building upon participants' existing medical device experience, sessions will explore the complex processes of creating early-stage value, including issues such as assessing ideas, building a founding team, raising capital, executing milestones, allocation of funds, improving accountability and operations, and making the transition into becoming an entrepreneur.
