Senior R&D Engineer (2 openings)

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Research Engineer II for the Vascular Therapy R&D Group (Tyco Healthcare, Mansfield, MA location) has the responsibility to support the development of new products for the Vascular Compression – DVT Prophylaxis market, as well as provide support to current product lines within the SCD System and related families.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to concept development, product design, product performance verification and validation, transfer to manufacturing, and related documentation development and processing. Candidate must be able to work in a team environment and be able to communicate clearly across all disciplines.

Requirements

Education required/ preferred: BS Engineering/ MS preferred (Electrical/System, Biomedical, Mechanical) Experience: 3-5 years Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Knowledge of and Electro-mechanical System Product Development, Plastic Part Design, and Software/System Testing. Skills/Competencies: Specification Development, Test Protocol Development, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Can lead small project teams. Other Skills: Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, and Windows) National Instruments (LabView)
