As a Research and Development Technician with Covidien, you will support various research and development efforts. Some of your responsibilities will include conducting various tests/experiments, authoring testing protocols and reports, maintaining accurate records of tests/experiments conducted and problem solving.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Conducting testing/experimentation related in support of Covidien’s Research and Development efforts related to the Prefilled Syringe business (FDA regulated devices).
• Writing clear and concise testing protocols/reports.
• Interpreting test data and determining if products meet predetermined acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering personnel in the development of new test methods.
• Hands-on operation and maintenance of testing equipment.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide feedback to engineering staff and management with regard to project advancement, obstacles and opportunities.

Requirements:
• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma, however successful completion of college level coursework is desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years related experience, however 5 or more years of related experiences is desireable.
• Medical Device experience is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong Problem Solving Skills.
• Working knowledge of basic statistical techniques.
• Proactive nature and capable to working generally unsupervised.
• A positive and optimistic attitude.
• Respectful of a diverse working environment.
