QUALITY INSPECTOR

Tegra is seeking a highly organized, productive, customer Quality Inspector for both the day and night shifts.

The Quality Inspectors will work under general supervision from specific written inspection procedures; and perform various routine inspection duties of supplied raw material, manufactured parts and components for conformance with QA standards. Duties will include but not be limited to:

1) Perform and demonstrate understanding of sampling plans and statistical methodology such as SPC.
2) Read and understand written procedures.

3) Perform visual and or mechanical inspections.

4) Perform CMM and Vision system inspection/programming.

5) Thorough understanding of GD&T in accordance with ANSI Y14.5.
6) Perform mechanical testing of finished product prior to shipment.
7) Verify compliance to applicable regulations, standards, and to company policies and procedures.
8) Perform on-Line Quality Functional Testing and Data recordings.
9) Set up and use equipment utilized by job function.
10) Complete and update First part inspection, related in-process and final inspection Spreadsheets.
11) Ensure that the assigned job area is cGMP compliant.
12) Follow all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or equivalent is required as well as a minimum of three years experience in quality inspection and in programming and operating a CMM is a must. Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and 13485 Quality Management Systems is strongly preferred. Must be detail oriented with great proofreading skills and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to work well in a team or individual setting and be a motivated, self starter with high initiative to work issues to closure. Must also be able to perform basic computer data entry functions and graphs / plots printing activities (e.g. use of Excel, Microsoft Word. etc.) and be able to handle multiple tasks accurately and prioritize effectively
