OPERATIONS MANAGER
We are a high
growth, high profile contract medical device manufacturer located in Franklin
and Dartmouth Massachusetts. We are seeking a highly organized, productive,
customer driven Operations Manager for our Franklin Genesis Tech Center. The GTC
Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of
the GTC to include machining, manufacturing, process engineering, tool rooms
and facilities resulting in the delivery of a world-class experience for our
GTC customers. This individual will be responsible for defining goals,
improving processes, managing budgets, directing resources, resolving problems
and ensuring manufacturing strategies that result in cost effective, on-time
delivery of quality products.
The GTC Operations
Manager will also manage order fulfillment including direct oversight of the
Quick Wire & Tube Cell, the Rapid Response Laser Room, the GTC Machine Shop
and other secondary assembly/finishing/cleaning/packaging operations. In
addition, s/he will work closely with his/her colleagues in the Lean Operations
Center of Excellence to coordinate the scheduling and processing of jobs that require
LOC resources, assist in implementing and driving continuous quality
improvements and maintain total team member engagement and involvement
throughout the facility.
Responsibilities

Manage daily
operations; assure customer expectations are consistently satisfied, products
and services always meet quality specifications and all resources are fully
utilized to provide cost-effective solutions.

Lead Lean and
Six-Sigma Initiatives to bring cost, quality and lead-times to world-class
levels.

Maintain
positive, high performance environment that fosters extraordinary customer
satisfaction, enhanced morale and individual employee development through team
building, coaching, training, feedback / reviews and goal setting.

Manage GTC
operations to minimize cost and maximize profitability.
·
Partner with
other business leaders to create and share best practices.
·
Facilitate cross
functional communications to improve internal efficiency and effectiveness.
·
Establish and
lead operational initiatives in conjunction with the sales organization to
drive aggressive organic growth.

Provide a safe
working environment for all manufacturing personnel and ensure timely
resolution of any unsafe practices or conditions
·
Track and monitor
key performance indicators and take corrective action when necessary.

Compliance to
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all documented procedures in the Tegra
Medical Quality Management System.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in operations
management, engineering or business management and a minimum of 3 years
managing a job shop/contract manufacturing or rapid prototyping unit. Knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably JobBOSS is a must. Previous experience with Lean
Manufacturing concepts: 5S, Kaizen, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping,
Six Sigma, SMED, etc. as well as a strong quality background is preferred. Experience
in lean manufacturing regulated industries such as Medical Devices, including
ISO 9000 requirements is preferred.
Excellent
organizational skills with a commitment to meeting aggressive deadlines and
expectations while ensuring overall quality of delivery and a demonstrated
ability to build effective business relationships across all levels of business
is required. Should have excellent
technical problem solving and analytical abilities and be
flexible while possessing strong leadership and interpersonal communication
skills. Must be able manage multiple priorities, have strong decision
making capabilities and the capacity to handle confidential information. Ability to travel as required.
