MicroCHIPS, Inc is seeking a senior engineering technician to support research and development efforts for an implantable diagnostic medical device. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting R&D efforts as well as new product introduction.

Responsibilities/Skills:

·         Support the R&D team in the development of a new implantable device

·         Work with our product development team assisting with designing, prototyping and testing medical devices

·         AAS or Certificate in electronic engineering or electronic engineering technology

·         5+ years experience in a design and development environment, preferably in the medical device industry

·         Experience working with embedded systems and electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters

·         Excellent soldering and prototyping skills including surface mount technology

·         Ability to read and understand schematics

·         Work closely with design engineering staff, as well as, working independently per test protocols

·         Knowledge of parts procurement

·         Strong computer skills with Word and Excel

·         Creative team-player with excellent communication skills required to interact with a multidisciplinary team
