IQuum Job Description

POSITION TITLE:  Manufacturing Technician            

 I.  JOB SUMMARY:

Prepare reagent solutions and produce IQuum consumables with reagents.

II.  PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Set up, operate and provide basic maintenance for  laboratory equipment (e.g. pipettes, filters, analytical balances, syringe pumps, centrifuges, pH meters, mixers, lyophilizers, autoclaves) test equipment (e.g. leak testers, force gauges) and custom manufacturing equipment (e.g. heat sealers, reagent dispensing equipment) following establish procedures

·        Interpret reagent specifications and produce reagents from raw materials and/or bulk solutions

·        Perform daily cleaning of relevant manufacturing equipment, tools, and surfaces

·        Precise and meticulous in observing and recording all details of daily processing including: weights, volumes, lot numbers, colors, particles, and any deviations from procedure

·        Perform incoming quality inspections and tests of raw materials as directed

·        Keeps track of daily inventory use to ensure that all raw materials are available and qualified for use

·        Assure that manufacturing processes and equipment are safe, reliable, neat, and clean

·        Record information as required for all batch records

·        Conducts experiments to support ongoing manufacturing related projects

·        Other duties as assigned

·        Assist with training of new Manufacturing Technicians

·        Suggests and documents process changes to support improvements

·        Develops initial drafts of new and edits old procedures as deemed appropriate

·        Document observations and deviations and provide insights into possible causes and corrective actions.

·        Provide hands-on problem solving support

SKILL AND EXPERIENCE:

·        High School Diploma required.

·        Associates Degree in related field preferred.

·        1+ years experience in formulations, preferably in an industrial setting.

·        Good computer skills required, including Word and Excel.

·        Familiarity with FDA, QSR/GMP, ISO and OSHA regulations is highly desirable.

·        Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills are required.

·        Must have good knowledge of standard lab techniques.

·        Must be independent hands-on resource as well as good team player.

·        Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·        Must have proven leadership capabilities.
