Engineer / Technician
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Description:
Work
as part of IQuum’s LIAT™ Engineering Development Team to develop innovative
solutions to meet critical customer requirements:
- Participate in the development of new systems
and subassemblies.
- Work closely with engineers to perform
complex mechanical and electrical
tasks in support of product development to
manufacturing release.
- Test and troubleshoot electronic modules and
sub assemblies.

Work closely with design engineers to improve part and subsystem
function.
- Build prototypes.
- Conduct engineering experiments.
- Participate in the development of work
instructions.
- Provide assembly feedback, recommendations
and documentation.
- Participate in ensuring design for
manufacturability and low cost.
Requirements:
-
Education: Associates degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or
equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of
relevant experience in an electro-mechanical
manufacturing or engineering environment

Proven ability to build electro-mechanical prototypes and assist electrical
and mechanical engineers with troubleshooting
and failure analysis

Ability to troubleshoot electronics to component level

Ability to develop work instructions and to work with manufacturing to
implement

Fine pitch solder experience a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in medical
capital and/or disposable devices is a plus

Excellent cross functional teamwork and interpersonal skills

Ability and desire to work in a fast paced environment

Strong communication skills

Experience in FDA-regulated medical systems or device industry strongly
preferred
