Job Title - Connectivity
Test Engineer
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the intended
operation of Hologic Mammography workstation with other third party
applications through integration testing and investigating customer issues.

Work with
vendors of other medical applications and information systems (PACS, RIS,
Reporting, etc) that are integrating with the Hologic Mammography
workstation. Understand and document
the operation of their products, deployment policies, and areas of concern.

Write plans,
procedures and protocols for software/hardware testing activities (validation
and integration)
·
Execute
validation and/or integration test procedures, document results, and generate
reports
·
Document defects
using defect tracking tool.
·
Configure and
maintain equipment in lab
·
Troubleshoot and
research service escalated issues
·
Interact
directly with the software development, V&V and connectivity groups as well
as technical support, and others plus vendors and customers to successfully
qualify Hologic products to meet customer expectations for system performance.

Assist with
other product development efforts not covered by above descriptions.
Qualifications
·
Understanding
of: computer applications design and
test, computer hardware & troubleshooting, operating systems, networking.
·
Familiar with
Medical systems (PACS, RIS, Reporting Systems, Dictation, etc.)
·
Sound testing
methodologies and practices.
·
Excellent
communications skills, both written and oral.
·
Able to work
with minimum supervision, prioritize and execute complex tasks in a
multitasking environment.
·
Excellent
organizational skills and attention to detail.
·
Ability to
interact and communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
·
Available to
travel occasionally to other Hologic locations, vendor and customer sites
Education
BSEE, BSCS, other technical
degree or equivalent experience
Experience
·
Two or more
years work experience in any of the following areas:
·
Software
installation and deployment, PC configuration, computer networking,
integration, computer build & repair, helpdesk support, training, or other
IT applied technology, technical service for computer or network based products
or services
·
Experience with
software applications testing (should include writing test plans, cases,
scripts, procedures and executing tests) (preferred).
·
Familiar with
use of automated defect tracking and/or configuration management tools, automated
testing tools, digital imaging and/or medical imaging (preferred)
·
Experience
working with Medical products and/or in a Medical environment (preferred)
