Responsibilities/Department description:
The
primary focus of this position is to provide analysis and ad-hoc reporting to
Biosurgery commercial and general management. The Commercial Analyst will
utilize business systems to gather key information,
analyze trends, and report findings to senior management that enable sales
force effectiveness, drive marketing decisions and support market development.
Responsibilities:
*
Bring market experience and expertise to tie together
disparate data and present comprehensive commercial analysis of target markets.
*
Analyze sales and market data and provide insights to management on issues of
price, macro- and micro-level sales performance, contract execution, market dynamics and similar areas.
*
Use analytics to inform sales management on ways to optimize resources in
selling to customer accounts. Identify modifications and improvements to
processes to maximize understanding of territory, area, and national sales activities.
*
Act as an expert and consultant to all customers, using experience to both
anticipate questions as well as engage with requestors to uncover specific
analytic needs. Integrate the knowledge and experience of sales and
marking practice to provide objective and critical
analysis.
*
Create new reports and analytical measures for management, marketing,
reimbursement and sales force to support the launch of a new medical product.
Collaborate with the Commercial Information group to develop and produce these reports.
*
Identify appropriate metrics that allow evaluation of sales and marketing
activities and provide ability to define and measure return on investment in
these areas.
*
Design and implement key reports aimed at understanding the market and creating a consistent view of the commercial
enterprise.
*
Prepare and present analyses and recommendations to all management levels.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s
Degree and 5 years of experience
2
years experience with Excel
2
years sales analytics experience required.
Preferred
Qualifications:
2
years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales or marketing experience.
Analytical
experience, preferably in the Biotech environment.
Cognos
experience a plus.
Strong
communication skills – both written and verbal.
Proven
ability to multi-task.
Ability
to collaborate with multiple teams.
