Cyberkinetics’ Clinical Team in
As a key member of the Clinical Team, you will design and implement a database and data management system for storage and retrieval of clinical case report form (CRF) data, neural signal data, and digital video clips and photos. In addition, you will analyze current data management needs and devise solutions using Cyberkinetics’ off-the-shelf data management system (Clindex) and other available tools. It will also be your responsibility to develop file processing programs to automate the extraction of key data elements from multiple electronic source files, develop database reports for study managers and upper management and implement data management processes to ensure timely data entry, data uploading, and management reporting.
You should have a BA/BS or MA/MS in information technology, software engineering, computer science, bio-informatics, etc., and 5 years of relevant medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry experience. To qualify for and perform at the highest level in this position, you should have excellent written and oral communication skills, experience in the design and implementation of relational databases (RDBMS) including database management of large files, such as digital video and photo files and sensor signal data files. You should be proficient in SQL and database report programming, as well as have experience developing file processing programs to enable extraction of data from electronic source files. Further, you should be capable of validating and implementing 21 CFR Part 11-compliant data management systems.
Additional skills that would facilitate your success in this position include your ability to work with off-the-shelf clinical data management systems in FDA-regulated clinical trials and develop solutions using open-source programming and database management tools. Your expertise in handling neurophysiologic data sets, using XML for data management, and your statistical analysis skills would also enhance your ability to perform the responsibilities in this role with an exciting, cutting-edge neurotechnology company.
