ConforMIS, Inc., located in Lexington, MA is a dynamic, growing company delivering a breakthrough approach to orthopedics and sports medicine.  ConforMIS provides image-derived, minimally-invasive implant and instrumentation systems designed to conform to the unique anatomy of each patient and to dramatically simplify orthopedic and sports medicine surgery. 

 

We are seeking a motivated and experienced designer to generate patient-specific implant designs.  Using CT or MR images, the 3D imaging specialist will design a 3D model of the patient’s knee implant.  Based on this model, a precision implant is manufactured that conforms to the patient’s articular surfaces.  You will be responsible to ensure consistent high quality of ConforMIS implant products.

 

 

Responsibilities include

·         Generate 3D and other post-processing images from diagnostic CT, MRI and other data sources.

·         Interface with imaging center technical staff to ensure that CT and MRI data sets are acquired appropriately to facilitate post-processing.

·         Track the status of data processing requests.

·         Participate in research programs, quality assurance and quality improvement projects.

·         Work with technical managers to improve the quality of data sets provided for processing.

·         Operates medical imaging workstations.

·         Performs tasks under the company FDA and ISO-conforming quality system and safety standards (large magnetic field, ionizing radiation, universal precautions, etc.).

 

Experience and qualifications

·         Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.

·         Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent.

·         2+ years experience as a radiologic technologist, with at least 6 months to 1 year as a CT or MRI Technologist preferred.

·         Experience with the use of FDA approved commercial 3D imaging packages in a clinical setting.

·         Analytical abilities to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of imaging processes, techniques and procedures and cross sectional anatomy.

·         Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

·         Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing pace and environment with frequent interruptions.
