Principal Engineer – Mechanical

You will take responsibility for, and participate in, the complete development cycle for innovative Medical Products, from preparing specifications and architecture design right through to approval for volume production.

Position Responsibilities 

·        Have major design input and the ability to act as technical reviewer on complicated multi-disciplinary projects ranging from the development of implantable devices to diagnostic platforms

·        Produce consistent work autonomously in your area of expertise and be sought out for advice in this area by engineers within the international Cambridge Consultants group

·        Lead meetings with clients, giving presentations, running workshops and communicating ideas and engineering concepts to all disciplines

·        Support the activities of Business Leaders in sales meetings, writing sales presentations, project proposals and planning projects

·        Take a role in developing new areas of technical expertise in the company through the recruitment, training and mentoring of engineers

 

Position Qualifications 

·        Experience managing product development with multidisciplinary teams

·        Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

·        At least 8 years hands on engineering experience in industry (experience in medical device development such as drug delivery devices, diagnostic equipment or electrosurgical tools, strongly preferred)

·        Strong academic record (Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or related engineering field, Master’s degree in a related field strongly preferred)

·        Travel (up to 30%) including international travel

·        Permanent residency or US citizenship required
