Responsibilities
The Application
Service Manager (ASM) has the full responsibility for the validation, deployment
and maintenance of all software applications used in the client’s production
processes.
You will assure
complete systems stability in the production environment during any software
implementation or upgrade. This will be
accomplished through end user training, structured validation practices, and
controlled deployment activities in close coordination with the local and
global teams in IS/IT, Software Development, Software Quality, and
Operations. The ASM also has primary
responsibility for local production software systems support, and support
management. You will coordinate with
team members to drive improvements in the development, testing, validation,
release and support processes in order to reduce upgrade management and support
costs. All open issues and ongoing
support activity will be coordinated with the Operations staff such that
effective decisions can be made to maintain on time delivery, product quality,
and the customer experience in a short lead time custom manufacturing environment.
Requirements
·
5+
years working in Project Management, Professional Services, or Applications
Engineering type roles interfacing with customers and implementing software
solutions.
·
5+
years experience with software systems validation.
·
2+
years experience with software development and testing.
·
2+
years experience working in an environment where you had to provide daily
support to end users of software or automated systems.
·
Proven
as a cross functional team leader and project manager with skills to provide
structure, direction and decisions for your team.
·
Proven
ability to concurrently work on multiple projects and tasks with multiple
diverse teams.
·
Detail
oriented and can follow through with open issues.
·
Aggressive,
take-charge, self-directed personality, with an ability to work independently,
self-sufficiently, and pro-actively in the performance of their work duties.
·
Personable
and works well with people with diverse technical and educational backgrounds.
·
Can
solve problems by attacking root causes.
·
Exceptional
verbal and written communication in English.
·
Exceptional
technical documentation skills.
·
Excellent
communicator adjusts well to audiences of different levels of technical
knowledge.
·
Engineering
background, MS preferred. Also welcome backgrounds in Computer Science,
Information Technology, Systems Engineering.
Additional Desirable
Requirements
·
Experience
working with ISO9001 & GAMP or related relevant quality standards and
industry practices
·
Knowledge
and experience with DOE techniques.
·
Experience
with end user training of software products.
·
Experience
with validation in regulated environments, such as in biotechnology,
pharmaceutical, or aerospace industries.
·
Has
written or developed software.
·
Has
network and database infrastructure experience.
·
Has
worked or interfaced with production environments.
