Product Manager (Metro west Boston)

 

Our client is a global provider of diagnostic medical device products.  Due to growth, they are seeking a Product Manager.  This is a great opportunity if you are seeking to join a dynamic marketing team in leading medical device company that is making a critical difference in patients’ lives!

 

Responsibilities

 

The successful candidate will plan, direct and coordinate marketing activities for our client’s products by fulfilling these key responsibilities:

 

·         Manage marketing strategy and tactics in the cytology and molecular areas. Execute plans for marketing efforts such as sales collateral design, product development, competitive analysis and market research.

·         Develop keen understanding of relevant clinical data and lead teams in refining product positioning and developing key messages for laboratory customers.

·         Participate in long term product development plan and play active role in the design of new products.

·         Develop effective sales training tools and become recognized as a resource for the field sales force in interpreting the latest clinical data.

·         Establish relationships with key customers to develop advocates and educate influential leaders on product performance.

·         Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans. Coordinate efforts of multiple vendors (e.g. advertising, medical education and other agencies) and internal resources to ensure timely execution of tactics and programs within specified budgets. Manage teams and vendors through difficult and changing circumstances.

·         Create promotional materials in various forms, including printed sales pieces, journal advertisements, video, CD-ROMs, and websites. Measure the ROI on programs and refine marketing mix as appropriate.

·         Lead both qualitative and quantitative market research studies to develop new insights into the market and recommend appropriate changes in positioning and key messages as necessary.

 

Requirements

 

  • Strong project management skills.
  • Able to articulate a plan and manage to tasks to achieve stated goals and objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic.
  • Strong team-orientation with demonstrated ability to both lead and follow.
  • 3-5 years marketing experience in medical device, diagnostics, or laboratory environment.
  • 2-3 years in product development or laboratory workflow.
  • Medical sales experience is also preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Science, MBA preferred.
  • Some travel required.
