The position of Sales Consultant reports to the Regional Business Manager and is responsible for sales and promotion of BD Ophthalmic Disposable Instruments. Target call points will be hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Territory coverage is Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.

Required Skills and Knowledge: B.S./B.A. Degree in Business and/or related medical field.

Technical Area of Expertise: 3-5 years selling experience preferably in the health care market. Ophthalmic experience a plus.

Degree of Accountability (discretion/supervision): Works fairly independent in cooperation with the sales force. Information must be verified to ensure appropriate levels of service to the customers — both internal and external.

Prior sales experience selling medical devices to Ophthalmic surgeons or Ophthalmic O.R. nurses required. Opthalmic O.R. nurses with an interest in being a Sales Consultant are encouraged to apply.
