We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our dynamic engineering group. This individual will be responsible for leading and directing the activities of a large program to significantly impact business performance. This individual will manage a multi-disciplinary global development team consisting of mechanical, electrical, software, quality, manufacturing, and reliability test engineers. The qualified candidate should have a working knowledge in these disciplines and will be responsible for managing the team. The Program Manager is expected to contribute to the organization, management and overall development and performance of these projects. The Program Manager will be accountable for overall project results, develops metric, and generate the detailed program plan/schedule while directing all program resources, and monitoring and managing risks.
Responsibilities include:
* Manage one large electrical mechanical programs and its multi-disciplinary
global
team from
development through to the commercial release
* Lead the development of next generation products
* Provide leadership to the team to coordinate efforts, identify risks and
focus priorities
*Apply program management techniques to ensure technical, financial, and schedule
successes
*Develop and maintain annual budgets, program priorities, and development goals
*Work closely with senior management to establish and achieve project
milestones
*Manage and coordinate efforts with manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory,
and
other internal organizations
Requirements:
*BS in Engineering (Biomedical, EE, ME or Software, advanced
degree a plus)
*10+ years of practical engineering experience
* 8+ years of successful program management experience and medical device
industry
experience a plus
* Must possess a strong working knowledge of the FDA's Quality System
Regulation
(QSR), Medical Device Directives (MDD) and practical application through Design
Control SOP's
Verification and Validation testing
* Experience leading and directing the work of others
* Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma a plus
*Fluency in German a plus
